Afghan Boy Dancing After Getting A Prosthetic Leg Will Make Your Day!!

Afghanistan! We all are aware as to what is going on in this country. It’s really a sad state of affairs. The wars have crippled the country. No matter who the eventual winner of such wars is, but the real losers are the civilians of that country. The innocent children who have absolutely no idea, what life is all about, face each day, terrified waiting for what is to come.

Sadly, it is estimated that over a million people (including many children) have lost limbs and have been living with one or other disability, just because of the injuries sustained from the war. For men of war, it is simply termed as “collateral damage” but for these victims, this is their whole life.

Recently, a video of a 5-year-old Afghan boy went viral. The boy named Ahmad Sayed Rahman, was just 8 months old when a fight between the Afghan Forces and the Taliban, broke out in his village of Logar Province. During the gunfire, Ahmad was shot in his leg, which later had to be amputated. His sister, Salima, was also caught in the gunfire and sustained bullet wounds to her kidney and legs.

Ahmad Rahman got his first prosthetic leg when he turned one year old. As he grew older, he needed a new prosthetic leg almost every year. Currently, as Ahmad got his 4th prosthetic leg fitted, he couldn’t help but smile and dance with pure joy. Have a look at the viral video of this 5 years old brave lad, dancing after getting his new prosthetic leg, the video that had many reaching for the tissues and questioning their own problems.

This video was filmed by Mulkara Rahimi, a physiotherapist at the Red Cross orthopedic clinic in Kabul, Afghanistan.
